"The Adventure Capital of Nepal”

This unique tourist town is just 200km from Kathmandu and set on the edge of a beautiful lake at the foot of the famous Annapurna Mountain Range. Nepal’s subtropical climate is perfect to enjoy the enormous range of adventure activities in Pokhara ranging from famous trekking trails to paragliding, mountain biking, zipline, bungee jumping, SUP & lake paddling and of course to our favorite whitewater river kayaking & rafting adventures. The Lakeside community is also well known for its yoga studios, ayurveda centers, spas & massage parlors.

How to get there?

Tourist buses depart Kathmandu daily at 7am and take about 7-8 hours. Prices range from $10 - $25. The cheaper, older tourist buses allow space on the roof for kayaks & bikes, but the more expensive luxury buses do not.

Private car, jeep, minivan & bus with driver are available for hire ranging in price from $100 - $200. Expect about 7 hours. Kayaks & bikes are no problem with private hire.

GET OFF THE BUS! It’s also possible to paddle the Trisuli River between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Check in with one of our whitewater professional sponsors to learn more about this option...

Domestic flights take just 20 minutes and cost around $125 but cannot accommodate kayaks & bikes.

There is a wide range of accommodation options in Pokhara from budget backpacker hostels at just $5 per night to deluxe 5 star resorts at a few hundred dollars a night.

Camping will also be available at the Yamdi Campway Restaurant, Upper Seti River take-out point and event celebration venue.

The Lakeside area also has a huge variety of excellent local coffee shops, cafes, restaurants & pubs & night clubs.
